Welcome to St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Founded in 1946  by Monsignor Don H. Hughes, and under the direction of  then Bishop Daniel J. Gercke, St. Ambrose  was erected to serve the rapidly growing city of Tucson as it continued to expand eastward.

St. Ambrose currently serves what is now the midtown area of Tucson, from Park Ave east to Columbus Blvd, and from 5th Street south to Aviation and 32nd St.

Our Pastor Fr. Mark Long has been serving the St. Ambrose community since July 1, 2011 and currently serves as the Vicor Forane for the Pima Central Vicariate.

Bishop Weisenburger on the
Supreme Court

The recent U.S. Supreme Court Decision overturning Roe vs. Wade regrettably has resulted in a tidal wave of misinformation. Please take 2-3 minutes to review the attached article which speaks to ten of the most significant pieces of misinformation. It is important that we all know the facts, the most basic of which is that every human life, including those still in their mother’s womb, is sacred.
